Thank you for the opportunity to serve you and your patients. The American College of Radiology recently launched the Closing the Loop Recommendations Follow-Up initiative to help prevent the detrimental health outcomes that can occur when patients do not complete follow-up imaging that radiologists may recommend.

To support this effort and help you close the loop on follow-up for your patients, Mineral King Radiology is introducing a program to help encourage your patients to receive appropriate follow-up imaging.

When a patient has not completed a follow-up study within the recommended time frame, Mineral King Radiology will reach out to patients directly. Outreach will include three SMS (text) messages to the patient’s phone number we have on file. . These messages will encourage patients to contact you to discuss the follow up recommendation. You will then be able to determine the need for followup imaging based on your clinical judgment, and submit an order for the exam if necessary.

We know that you have a lot to keep track of, and we hope that you find this program a useful tool to make sure that significant findings on your patients’ exams don’t get overlooked or forgotten about.

Mineral King Radiology is an early adopter of this new technology. This program has been viewed positively by other referring communities.
